Dr. Thomas Young
Medical Exercise Associates has welcomed Thomas Young DC, DACBSP to the staff. Dr. Young received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. He is the only Chiropractic Physician in Volusia County credentialed as a Diplomate-level Sports Medicine Specialist by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians®. He brings two decades of experience in the health and fitness industry to the already established wellness, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services available at Medical Exercise Associates. He focuses on promoting joint mobility and quality functional movement to help athletes perform at their peak and minimize injury risk. He also supports every-day athletes in achieving optimal functional capability in all their daily activities. Dr. Young holds a faculty appointment at Palmer College of Chiropractic and teaches post-graduate courses in Sports Chiropractic and Rehabilitation. He is also the team Chiropractor for the Daytona Tortugas, the Class A Advanced Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds Professional Baseball Team.. He is available to lecture teams, coaches, athletes, parents, and administrators in the areas of injury prevention and training enhancement. When Dr. Young is not caring for patients or teaching, he is a well-rounded athlete who enjoys running, strength training, wrestling, and soccer; in addition to spending time with his wife Maria and two boys.
